I have a computer its a celeron 2.56 ghz, it has an ati x1300 gfx card.
I'm trying to play return to castle wolfenstein with these requirements:
* 3-D Hardware Accelerator (with 16MB VRAM with full OpenGL® support
* Pentium® II 400 Mhz processor or Athlon® processor
* English version of Windows® 95 OSR2/98/ME/NT4.0 (SP6)/2000/XP Operating System
* 128 MB RAM
* 16-bit high color video mode
* 800 MB of uncompressed hard disk space for game files (Minimum Install), plus 300 MB for the Windows swap file
* A 100% Windows® 95 OSR2/98/ME/NT4.0 (SP6)/2000/XP compatible computer system (including compatible 32-bit drivers for CD-ROM drive, video card, sound card and input devices)
* Quad-speed CD-ROM drive (600 K/sec. sustained transfer rate)
* 100% DirectX® 8.0a (included)
* 100% DirectX 3.0 or higher compatible sound card and drivers
* 100% Microsoft-compatible mouse/keyboard and driver
I am using the linux binary's.
I would think the specs for that would be similar say:
500mhz processor
linux
128 mb ram
16-bit high colour video mode
etc.
so theoritically since my computer far surpases these requirements i should be able to get a bit more than the 25 fps (maximum) i am getting.
my settings are all set to minimum.
is there something i need to (or can) do to boost my fps?
