I just got Ubuntu loaded up last week when a friend showed it to me. I also just started playing NWN. Well I tried to pair them together to learn something. :) Big mistake. I downloaded the 230 MB Dedicated Server from BioWares site. I get it setup and it tells me:

"zombfyed@Server:~/server$ ./nwserver
./nwserver: error while loading shared libraries: libktrace-gcc2.96.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I've searched the error. It turns out that they had this problem when it was first released because they compiled it using that lib. Well everyone had this problem and I can't find a clear definition of how to fix it. As to what I have found is that the Dedicated Server has been since updated so you don't have this issue any longer. So I'm at a loss.

3 days have passed since I posted on BioWares forums about the problem. The only thing I've been told was to try Red Hat instead because NWN was compiled on that. I don't want to switch OS to do this, I just wanted to play a little NWN. I have since attempted to install my full Platinum Ed. on the box only to find different problems which I've been slowly weeding through the NWN forums to find out what's up. I was wondering if any of you have any idea?

My system spec are:

AMD XP 1600+
768 MB
27 GB Maxtor HD
Visiontek Geforce 3

Ubuntu Hoary 5.04

If you need more info let me know and I will go into greater detail. Thanks.
