Is there a script i can run that will install all the best games of every genre (shooter, puzzle, etc.) in ubuntu? I found that when i updated ubuntu ultimate edition on a friends machine i can choose the gamers edition, and that downloads alot of games that i would want using just a script.

I personally would recommend getting Enemy Territory

You can get the linux one, install it and run it. When you connect to the specific
server, you will receive the map updates and patches automatically, theres no need to install the updates and maps manually.

Also freeciv is a good game,
i just sudo apt-get install freeciv,

make sure that all yr source lines in /etc/apt/sources.list are uncommented (#)

well, i wasn't talking about getting specific games, i have played enemy territory and nexuis and similar, i just dont want to completely reinstall them every time i wipe a system, its too much work. I want a script like the one in Ubuntu Ultimate that will download and install it all for me. The ones in Ubuntu Ultimate are actually enough for me.

Actually, now that i think about it, i want to try and get the upgrade script from ubuntu ultimate and try it on regular ubuntu, only installing the games and not the OS. I'm kinda scared that it won't work though...

Currently, one is in development in Ubuntu-Games, here: http://www.ubuntugames.org/iug ("iteam" will also be there, when ready... ;) )
Else, you can see games here and in most cases, with "simple" installation tutorials: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=427205&highlight=iteam
