DSL icons dissapear

on my one laptop i have a Damn Small frugal install and everything was going well and one day all the icons dissapeared. i can still do things with th eright click menu, and they flash as any windows manager starts but i want them back. any help?

have you tried the new 1's, robert is doing a heck of a job. the one has drag and drop, the icons are in the apps folder and you just grab the ones you want out, nice. the more people that help test the better it gets.
