Freeciv is nice, but resembles a typical Gnome app more than a game, so I was surprised that Stratagus (formely FreeCraft) was so good. Well I've only just installed it but it sure looks cool.
My recommendations for some open source gaming.

Isn't Stratagus just the Command & Conquer/Starcraft portion of FreeCraft? I thought it was a pre-made campaign that FreeCraft could use.

Strategus is the continuation of FreeCraft, and no it doesn't have Starcraft or C&C support. Name change due to legal issues, nothing more.
I too, second that Strategus is awsome. If you play Wargus, its just as if Warcraft II was ported to Linux.

Stratagus is simply a flexible RTS engine. It was borne out of the closed-down Freecraft project, and is now independent of Warcraft - however still able to run Warcraft games through the Wargus project. There are a list of games in development that use the Stratagus engine should you want to try it but do not have a copy of Warcraft I or II to hand:

I am playing BOS with stratagus because it was in repositories. But BOS have only one small map, and almost no other options have any effect. Where or how can I get scenario's and games etc.

Er, just a question on Stratagus... is there a Starcraft one yet (I'm talking primarily Wargus btw:P) and is there any way to run it with the Warcraft II BNE version, as its all I have =)
