I followed the steps in https://wiki.ubuntu.com//JapaneseInputHowto
so now I can type in japanese.
However, when I get messages from the system in the terminal (like "password changed succesfully"), all the å, ä and ö characters has turned into something different (ö instead of ö, ä instead of ä, ...)
This happens only in the terminal - in the gnome menu and at webpages I can see å,ä,ö as usual.
Where can I correct this?
