I don't have an internet connection at home....

(I am at school, as usual)

You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage.

Actually, the score key says 20-49 is the above description, but there isn't anything lower.

-EDIT I wonder if those resources about internet addiction can be bought online?

I scored 37

I think thats low for me considering the amount of time I spent online. But it's not something I obsess about. It never gets in the way of work or going out when I want to.. it just I don't do much else with my spare time lately :P

And I stay up way too late online

29. You want an honest result? Check the beans...:lolflag: there are some tricky questions, like the ones that you don't do that at all, and yet have to choose rarely since there is no never. Do not apply it's not the same. Since ie the question about avoiding intimacy for being online it's not valid if you answer rarely if don't have a couple... but good though...

I'm not worried about it. Sure I sometimes aimlessly browse, but only because there's nothing better to do.

I'm more worried about kitchen-addiction. Lol. I cook waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too much. Maybe I'll get a hot girlfriend off it? :D Hmmmmmmmm... maybe one day... maybe one day...

You are experiencing occasional or frequent problems because of the Internet. You should consider their full impact on your life.

I got 26, waaaay lower than I was expecting, considering how much time I spend at my computer. Though, it's more things like forums or a particular game that tends to get me into trouble, and I'm not currently into that stuff much just at present, except just now when I'm staying up late browsing the forums when I ought to be asleep :-\"

"You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage."

Score 29.

An absolutely terrible test it got me completely wrong. I am absolutely addicted to the internet, most of the questions I clicked Does Not Apply because I am literally -always- online and many of the questions were irrelevant as I don't choose anything over the internet apart from my son and my wife.

I sleep ~15 hours a week and I am online when I am not asleep. I have been like this for 15 years, I am literally the definition of an internet addict.

I have never seen such an appalling design for a questionnaire and a I sociologist I know a lot about these things.

Let me explain my answers:

1. N/A - I intend to be online -all- the time so I am never online longer than I intended.

2. 5 - How can I know about household chores if I am always in front of my computer?

3. N/A - I don't have "excitement" online, I just exist there.

4. 1 - Whats does it mean by relationships?

5. 5 - Ask the missus

6. 1 - I still get the highest grades possible, I just leave things until the last minute.

7. 5 - Who doesn't?

8. N/A - Unemployed mature student.

9. N/A - People don't ask

10. N/A - I just don't, my mind is too occupied with technology to think about negative times in my life

11. N/A - I am never offline

12. N/A - I would never put myself into a situation where I have no internet, so I don't think about it.

13. 1 - If I am really busy working on something important

14. 5 - But is it cause or affect? Since I only sleep around 15 hours a week due to a sleep disorder.

15. N/A - I am never offline.

16. N/A See 15

17. N/A I have no interest in cutting down so I cannot fail at it.

18. N/A I am 33 years old, why would I try to hide it, I can do what I like.

19. 5 - I never go out unless I am going to class or taking/collecting son and missus to the inlaws.

20. N/A - Again, I am never offline.

Sites like this are a joke.

I got a score of 41. It probably should have been higher, as I'm online often, but I don't see it as a problem. Most of the time I spend online is for learning new things (I visit Wikipedia daily) or reading the news. Others watch TV for several hours a day, which, in my opinion, is much worse (I watch about 10 - 20 minutes a day). Going online is something I enjoy doing, not something to be ashamed of. :)

They need to fix it to a radio button, not a checkbox. I can click all of the buttons! Also, I scored a 48.

<input type="checkbox" to "radio"Just thought I'd put that. :)

They probaly don't spend enough time online to know that?

You should alert the websites administrator.

How can they expect to help anyone out with a test like that with checkboxes?

Same here ,when i`m not at work....:)
I`m 38 now but have only used a pc for 18 months, the wife reckons i`ve squeezed a good few of those missing years in during the last one & a half though:)

If i`m not at work or out with the family i`m generally on my throne...."home1":)
I cant get enough of the things now and while i still dont have a clue what i`m doing half the time i`m so glad i decided to sit down at one..........even more so for having discovered Ubuntu/Linux a few months later of course:)

I got a 42 on the test but the wife took it again for me and got a 58

I spend a lot of times on the web on weekends but on weekdays I rarely go online.
