I use to remembered back in the Apple II days there is a game called Taipan. I loved to play it a lot, I want to find out if there is one for linux. Does anyone know? :D

That's what I found too when I did a search. I wasnt quite sure that it is the same thing as what I had. I'll look into it thou. Thanks!

But if any one know where I can find the orginal version that will works on Linux, I'll be happy. :D

You could certainly run the apple ][ version under Linux. There are several emulators... Now finding what you need to boot it up and the game itself... Google, or maybe some apple ][ fans could post some hints for you...

Thanks, I'll try that. :D I just installed Apple ][ Emulator. As soon as I figured out how to run it. I will try. Since I can not see shortcut anywhere. :(

I love that game! I have a Windows version of it that I'll try to see if it runs on Wine but you could play DopeWars in the meantime. It's basically the same game; different theme.

Nah, I play that before. I don't really like it that much. If you know what I mean.

I know I had left this subject alone for a while. I still wants to find this game on linux (Ubuntu) platform. If anyone know where I can find it. Please let me know. Thanks!

Is this it?

It can be run under sdlmess (http://rbelmont.mameworld.info/?page_id=163) if you have the required apple2 bios and a taipan disk image. You may have to google a bit to get sdlmess up and running, it's a little confusing at first...

With that, it can be run as
./mess apple2p -s6d1 somedisk.dsk
Replacing somedisk.dsk with the real filename.
