I followed this to remove compiz http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=533201

I reinstalled from treviño's repository, but changes in CCSM won't do anything!!!! What can I do!?

Solved. I didn't install libcompizconfig-backend-gconf package

Solved. I didn't install libcompizconfig-backend-gconf package so what sovled the problem for u ..was it installing libcompizconfig-backend-gconf or uninstalling the same file?

It wasn't installed so I installed it.
