hello.
i have an hp compaq 6710b with the messed-up video card (intel 965gm if i'm not mistaken), which is probably the reason why compiz fusion won't work.
anyway... i'm using beryl and emerald at the moment, both work perfectly, but the only thing that i miss from compiz is the shadow under/above the panel. (you know, in compiz the panel casts a 3-4 px wide shadow on the desktop which looks kinda cool).
is there any way i could add this shadow to the panel while using beryl?

as you can see, without the shadow thingy, the panel looks transparent, although it's not. the background picture is the same as the wallpaper but in bigger resolution...
(this is the wallpaper - http://antonotron.deviantart.com/art/Evil-Monkey-Desktop-21028078)
i thought about simply drawing the shadow on the panel's background image but it would look weird because of the icons, maximized windows, etc...
thanks for any ideas...
