If you buy the pay for Mandriva I think its got Cedega, you can install gnome on that.

If you are trying to get Cedega for free, you might as well pirate windows. At least then the company that you are robbing is a despicable monopoly and not people working to improve the linux experience. If you want Cedega, fork over the $15 and buy it. It's cheap and its to a good cause.

Mandriva does include it (and other goodies) in the boxed set. These are signifcantly more expensive than just buying Cedega though, so I would recommend doing a custom install of any Distro (gentoo or arch would be the fastest if you want to tweak it for maximum performance), installing a DE to run for normal stuff, but use a fluxbox or openbox WM to run you games from, theres the least other stuff going on that would degrade your performance.

Your not going to find a free Linux distro with Cedega preinstalled. Just find a torrent for Cedega (theres pleanty) and install it on Ubuntu.
