One more little suggestion:

When you open the splash screen manager in Feisty the initial/default splash screen isn't listed. Actually there's nothing. It would be nice if the initial splash was already there, so that - after you've installed and selected a different Splash you can get the original one back easily. It would also be nice if there were more splash screens available by default, like with themes for example.

That shouldn't be hard to implement, as all the included splash screens are stored in /usr/share/pixmaps/splash

Sadly, I can't help with this, as I don't know any Ruby.

We are forgeting the whole mission of linux. Linux is not supposed to be all "graphical and stuff". The mission is to build an open source WORK-station. If your in it for the graphics go back to windows.

That little rant is irrelevant to the problem in question. ;)

Maybe something is wrong on your end; I definitely have the Human GDM theme there, and it's always been there.

Or do you mean something other than System / Administration / Login Window ?

I think he means the Gnome Splash Screen manager. I have noticed that it isn't there, but I don't mind much, as it can be activated by deactivating the current splash screen.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but have they already fixed the issue with the boot screen now showing up for those of us with a CRT.
