I just read that Gutsy will not be getting XORG 7.3 or the gui config tool that goes with it.

That is really annoying, having to hand configure your resolution via command line sudo dpkg xorg crap...

I was really really looking forward to xorg 7.3 and being able to use a gui to configure resolutions, refresh rates, and color depth...

Guess we will have to wait for Gutsy+25

I'm running gutsy, and that is already included. No need for caps :P.

Read the rest of the thread I linked to; Bryce Harrington is our X maintainer, and as you can see, is actively working to get more forum users to help test X. Which means your contribution can make things work better in the final release.

I'm closing this thread. The same topic is discussed in a Community Cafe thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=528724), where Bryce made another post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=3224789&postcount=24) declaring that Displayconfig and Bulletproof-X aren't affected.
