Is there such? I used GFX2 in the Windows-days, and it runs reaaaally slow in Dosbox. Has Linux got any DP clones?

Deluxe paint, wow, i have that for the amiga. Not used it in a long time though. There is a program called mtPaint for linux. Not sure if that's any good. There is a program called pxPaint that is similar but only for windows.

I don't see how simple MSpaint clones are supposed to substitute the once industry standard Deluxe Paint.
Of the above choices i'd say to go with uberpaint, but that's dead for over a year now.

wow, Deluxe paint was The First paint program I learned. and it was amazing!
I think some people have forgotten how wonderful bitmap paint programs can be.
it doesn't look like the programs listed are still being developed. that's too bad
