I grabbed the ubuntu-6.10-alternate-powerpc.iso and when I boot holding down the C key it just boots right in to OS X.
I burned it to a cdrw and the OS X finds it when the computer is running.
What have i done wrong or could do?
Going to grabbed the live cd and see if that helps?

When you open it in OS X, what files do you see (post a pic).

if you see the iso-file on the cd, you can't start from it!

you have to hold the c-key from the self-testing-sound until you see a prompt.

can you start from another cd, like tech-tools or osx-install-disc?
