Deimos project: gather statistics

I've created a little project that will gather statistics of your computer.

At the moment I'm looking for more testers, idea's and to check if people are interested in the project.

The project is a client (Ubuntu & Windows) that sends statistics to the website, where you can view them.

The idea sounds cool.. but a lot of people don't want to share their pc usage info with others online..
is there some more private monitoring solution other than posting data to your site?
or maybe i'm talking nonsense ??
