Installed gdesklets via synaptic. If i click on the link in accessories i get a blank shell which freezes, if i run gdesklets in a terminal it tels me to go figure.... :confused:

Yes, i know there are about 1000 threads on similar problems, but they are all incredibly vague, so can this be fixed or not?

(amd64 architecture, but i don't think its related)

What exactly is the error message when you run it in the terminal?

The same thing happened to me. I fixed mine by reinstalling it.

Starting gdesklets-daemon...
Cannot establish connection to daemon: timeout!
The log file might help you solving the problem.

the log file holds all the answers.... as always

Delete ~/.gdesklets & try again.

by that you mean reinstall?
