Hi everyone,

My laptop comes with Nvidia FX5200Go with only 32MB Vram. I often get the badAlloc error in running totem when Compiz-Fusion active. AFAIK, the solution is to use no xv, which renders the video really bad.

This was not the case when I used Beryl. Although the performance of CF is better, I never got badAlloc problem with Beryl, even though I use Xv. My setting for Beryl was:
Rendering Path: Texture from Pixmap
Composite Overlay Window: Automatic
Rendering Platform: Force AIGLX
Binding: XGL Binding
Rendering: Automatic

My question is how do I use this same setting under Compiz-Fusion?

Thanks!

I use Compiz Fusion and it's not bleading edge on my 64mb geforce mx440. In the Compiz Config setting manager. I never saw any other options other then the general area in the settings window.

Try lowering the texture filter in the display tab. If that doesn't help I assume beryl is the better choice
GOOD LUCK!:)

I'm fairly new to ubuntu and CF.
