I tried searching for my answer but couldn't find any.

I installed Compiz-Fusion, enjoyed it for a while, but it just really slows down my computer. So I don't load it anymore. Problem is, now all of the sudden I can't use the normal Alt+Tab function in gnome. I checked the keyboard shortcuts preferences, and "Toggle window on all workspaces" is set to Alt+Tab, but nothing happens when I press it. How do I fix this?

"Toggle windows in all workspaces" means that if it is ON (windows in all workspaces), then the window you have selected will appear in every virtual desktop.

If you don't use virtual desktops, then you don't need that keyboard shortcut, so I'd disable that one. I think you can press BACKSPACE to disable the keyboard shortcut. Then re-assign alt-tab to the window switching function

I found out what happened. For some reason, it was mapped to ctrl+alt+tab, and I got confused about what was what, and thus didn't see which one to switch. Thanks.

the windows switching function is called: "Move between windows with popups"
(my alt-tab also didn't work (it does now))
