How do you kill a game if running in fullscreen mode? Especially if it hangs?

Still having trouble with installing a game from CD-ROM. How do you do this? I've read the manual but can't find anything that makes sense to me. Linux is ancient Greek to me. Would appreciate a hand. I need the game to see a CD in the "correct" Windows drive, and preferably I'd like to do a NoCD fix that will work in Linux. I'm using Point2Play 2.02 and cedega 4.4.

Thanks for help!

If you have a setting to switch screens just push that button. If you don't have that setting then you will need to push ctl alt f1 then log in and killall winex or something like that.

I'm trying to get War in the Pacific running which wants to run fullscreen...only!
So I'll remember ctl-alt-f1. Thanks!

So far I haven't had any success running much of anything. Some promising starts only to fizzle out.

Have a look in the unofficial wiki. Also search the transgaming forums for generic problems that you can alter to suit your needs thats the only way I've fixed my problems for some unknown reason ;)

Good luck and keep giving feedback.

To kill WoW (or simply go back to desktop) I press ctrl+alt+d
then I can kill WoW without have to re-log in another terminal.

Another suggestion create your own.

e.g. System -> Preferences -> Keyboard shortcuts. There you should find a way to do it.

I got that from the wiki as well.
