So, i have a 22" WS LCD monitor, and I can't get the resolution higher than 1280x1024. I have configured xorg.conf, through the on screen thing and manually, but still no dice. Most people say that after playing with xorg.conf, they could get what they need. I have noticed that there are quite a few bugs in the 64-bit version, so I thought that this may have happened to someone else and could help me out with this. Thanks in advance!!!

Have you tried one of these methods?

it depends on your card type and your drivers, if you have an nvidia card you may want to try getting envy.
