after you install cedega, just go to the directory with the .exe you want to install and type in:
cedega filename.exe
It should start setting it up.

I feel your pain. I have had nothing but issues with p2p and cedega. Thusfar my issues have gone unresolved, dispite posting messages on the transgaming forum, their support forum, AND the ubuntu gaming forum. My games install just fine, but don't play. One tip that might work for you: When you click 'install' in p2p make sure you have the 'run directory' box checked in the advanced settings tab before you click the 'continue' button. I had to do this when installing SimCity 4. Of course, I still can't get the damn game to play, but that's beside the point. :) If that works, and you are able to get your games to play, I wouldn't mind hearing your tricks. At this point, I feel like I wasted 15 dollars on a program that doesn't work, and has bad customer service. I hope to be proven wrong though.

I did, three days ago. Only one response, and it didn't really address my issue.

Well what is the problem itself I'm not sure what the problem is. I have no issues with cedega.

The problem is quite simple. My games will install fine, but they will not play. I've installed Civ3 Conquests and Sim City 4. When I hit the play button in p2p, nothing happens. Sometimes p2p will lock and I have to force quit the program. I'm not really sure how to be more specific, the games simply will not play.

Have you generated an error log yet?
Try running it from the desktop.
http://digital-conquest.ath.cx/wiki/index.php/Sim_City_4_Deluxe_Edition
Thats from the wiki have you tried those. You have to give me more info than simply it doesn't work. I can only help you if I can figure out what the problem is. The situation is something related to your computer my reasoning is that there are people that are playing the game.

I'm not sure how to generate an error log as I am still learning Ubuntu, but I would be happy to do so. I have checked the wiki's in the link you posted and have downloaded the patches and installed them. However, both games played just fine after the initial install, but the minute I reboot my computer, they stop working. After that, when I hit the play button in p2p nothing happens, that's about as specific as I can be. If I could offer you more details, I would.

There is a setting in point2play to play it while generating a log. I can't remember how to do it on the new point2play versin but the old one when you edit your install it can generate a log.

http://transgaming.org/gamesdb/
These are the games that they support I believe. Although not full functionality will be had by all. They generally make sure they support only the major games since its done on a voting system. e.g. WoW, Counter strike, guild wars HL1 and HL2 and a few others are the major ones. However that list is quite good.

i have cedega..and neverwinter nights.
ive installed roller coaster tycoon 2..and it plays fine.
but when i go to install neverwinter nights using the p2p program, when it comes to putting in your serial number (which is legitimate) it wont allow me to add the code. anyone else having this problem?..i had a look in the wine, serials etc thread..and i dont think its the same thing.
anyone got any thoughts on how to solve this?
thanks

Actually bioware has the linux files. Go directly to their site. They have some great forums to get neverwinter nights to run natively in linux.

linuX-gamers.net - How-Tos - Cedega CVS (http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=45)
^ that's easy and it works (I don't know about specific games but the install guide for cedega cvs works)

You clicked install and pointed it to your cdrom? I'm assuming thats where your issue is. I need a bit more feedback as to what you are doing.

Hi, if using a fully updated Hoary build what profile of cedega should I be using. I tried the older cedega (cvscedega_head_old). This returned the following output(errors)

Try fixing the error based on the output above, and
run the script again, without paramaters (Eg: WineCVS.sh)
