I am trying to run a server on my linux machine but the same error has been seen on windows too.
Ok, I am setting up a server for the internet, When my users see it they noticed that it didn't list a ping number. When they tried to join up it fails. I tried this with one of my freinds on his WinXP machine and got the same error.
I figured that it must be our routers, so I checked my books on which port to open but my book doesn't say. I tried googling for it but it only turned up long dead forum posts something close but noit close enough to be of use.
Anyone know what ports we need to open up?
