Anyone try this title on Win2k?
Microsoft lists the minimum requirements as Windows XP, but I've seen where people running WINE as Windows 98 have gotten it up and running, does it really need XP, or is Microsoft just officially "not supporting" Win2k even though it runs?

If I remember right, it's hard wired to detect WinXP and won't run under anything else. I had a fit about 9 months ago trying to install it on a machine that only had 2K, and when I looked it up online, I could see that it was an XP-only game.
As far as running it under Win98 in Wine, I can't attest to that. It might work, since a lot of things work in Wine that otherwise might not.

Well, I got a copy of it, it does run just fine on Windows 2000 despite the claim of Windows XP in the Minimum Requirements, it never complained about running on 2000.
Also worth mentioning, Oblivion runs, as do the expansion packs.
My guess is any game that supports DirectX 9.0c or earlier will install and run just fine on Windows 2000, unless the developer just goes out of their way to force it not to.
