Hi I have noticed that there is the backyard for the bad stuff. Community market for market stuff. This leaves the the community section for non support questions.
I am currently thinking it might be nice and beneficial to have a On Topic Cafe for topics that relate to Ubuntu but are not support questions. This may include conversations pertaining to hardware and external software where you are having a conversation about these topics rather than support or post unrelated to Ubuntu stuff.
This would allow for such things as say a user looking for a new router etc and ask for suggestions or if a item is supported in Ubuntu and also if there are problems with a piece of hardware or software. This is possible now but the posts in the cafe get burried very quickly limiting the results of the intended question and topic.
Also this can include gaming conversations on game and game play rather than that they are supported in Ubuntu.
I have noticed that as the Ubuntu Forum has grown over the last three years that this has been very successful with other topics and sections. This is also a form of support for Ubuntu utilizing the user knowledge base for important information.
