Grid wars 2 question

Everytime I open this game it takes up the full screen. How do I change this so it doesn't take the full screen?

Meaning, you want to play Grid Wars in windowed mode, is that it?

There are two ways you can do that: you either press ESC, go through Settings > Video and toggle the Windowed mode, so it starts windowed, or you change GW2 config file directly.

The first option's much more handy, though ;)

when I change it to windows mode. And save changes. When I do this it automatically closes the program. And i reopen it and the settings switched back to off. how do I change the config file?
