View Full Version : Why can't search be as good as the "New Post" suggestions?

I've since given up using the standard "search" option on Ubuntu forums. The better way to find what you need is to go start a new thread. But you don't actually start a new thread, you just type in your problem into the "Title" and when you click enter, it gives you a list of threads that are similar to the one you're about to make.

This method of searching gives MUCH better results than the other way. Is there a way to impliment this either as a replacement or at least as a secondary option when searching the forums? It feels akward using this as a workaround, though I'm pretty glad it works.

Thanks, and now I'm getting back to my problem solving =P

That's an excellent suggestion. I don't know if it's possible to implement it though...it's up to ubuntu-geek to figure it out I suppose.
