Hi all.
I am new to linux web serving. I have gotten everything installed and running. Websites are being served from /var/www/
I wanted to know what is the typical directory structure for setting up a webserver? Do I leave everything in /var/www/domain_com?
Why I ask is that if I am logged in on this machine, I don't have permissions to write to that directory. Do I remap to a directory in my Home directory or do I change permissions on the current directory?
If I setup FTP services (rather then just edit files on the machine) will this change things?
Thanks for any advice.
