Is there a time limit on threads I ask this because a lot of threads seem to go on for month .
also most have no input from the original author.
I think a limit of one month should be applied ,post should either be put into achive or deleted.
Just my opinion.

No, there is no time limit. We've seen thread got finally solved a year after the issue was posted. Deleting them would mean that they could not benefit others.
We do archive the development "release" forum, once the new ubuntu version is out (currently gutsy) or outdated tutorials.

Currently we do not utilize a time limit, which tends to be customary at many support forums (either a strict one, or a warning message that displays when trying to respond to a really old thread)
I've also seen some useful discussion revived from an old thread, and see no merit in preventing this from happening.
