Which version of ubuntu do I need for my intel Imac? Intel Core 2 Duo

Standard personal computer (x86 architecture, PentiumTM, CeleronTM, AthlonTM, SempronTM)

64bit AMD and Intel computers

Sun UltraSPARC based

You can run either 64bit Ubuntu or 32bit Ubuntu on a Core2Duo machine. I highly recommend 32bit for compatibility reasons.

So get: Standard personal computer (x86 architecture, PentiumTM, CeleronTM, AthlonTM, SempronTM).

do u know how to install ubuntu ...if not try searching on youtube for ubuntu on mac there is a awesome video works great
