how sad it is that i've been using linux so long that when i decided to reinstall windows dual boot for gaming i couldnt even get my wireless nic to work... pretty funny really, linux is supposed to be the smart people os and its easier to get things to work than windows. just thought the world might find that amusing

LOL
IMO too many people confuse "familiarity" with "ease of use"

I always see setting up wireless in ubuntu is easier for me. Maybe I'm just use to it now.

I have equal experience.
What I hate?
The simple password for my wireless is "starwars"
In ubuntu, I install, click it, and type that in.
In Windows, I install the OS, then install a CD, making sure not to let it's program overtake my OS's native wifi config utility, then I log into Linux, goto 192.168.1.1 and get the LOOOOOOONG wifi password, copy it onto paper, relog into Windows, and then enter the password.
Out of the box, nobody should reasonably argue that Ubuntu just works, and better than other OS's
Nobody get's a mac and then makes a video ... i mean come on ... a video? "omg im itching to start a new video project, lets go get a mac"
Windows? Uhm, out of the box it does nothing. WordPad is not even considered an option by most users, if it had spellcheck, and wasn't just sitting in "accessories" then it might get some use, but that would hurt MS word sales... You can browse the web and write email... get Linux and do that better, faster, and safer on a cheaper machine.
