I recently used Cedega to play Half life one, and it was bueatiful.
I only have one question... where are the directories for the games? I want to replace my config file and the crosshairs so its modified like it is on windows...

Usually in /home/arcanistherogue/transgaming_global/c_drive or similar.

Err.. now I have another problem.... When I boot HL, It shows the main screen wihtout any of the options, then the window closes and im in a zoomed up part of my desktop (which i am now). When i move my cursor to the edge of the screen, it zooms that way.
how would I get the game to run without this error? Should i run it from the command line, and not from the steam icon on my desktop?

Your "zoomed" is just the desktop on a big resolution. Change that through system - pref - screen resolution.
Concerning your Steam problem, did it happen after you tampered with the /hl/bin/.cfg's ?
And no, icon or terminal, it should not matter.

Yeah, It happened after I replaced the .cfg file. But those are the ones I use in windows, and I have used them for about 5 months without any errors. They are just weapon binds and chat binds.

Well, I also manually configure my cfg's and I haven't encountered any errors :? What _did_ you change ?

The config file is at my site, and here is a link: http://arcanis.trap17.com/halflifebackup/config.cfg
I did edit it a bit though, because I don't have the mouse4 and mouse5 buttons there. I removed those. That's about it.

argh. I'm out of words here. I customize my CS files every time and I've never seen _that_ kind of problem.

Thats an issue with the different resolutions from ingame and out of game messing each other up. Make sure cedega is managed and the resolutions are the same.
You could try holding ctl and push the plus or minus key to adjust resolutions.

Hmmm... Lemme try to run DMC to see if it affects all Steam games.

Odd, DMC worked flawlessly.
One more question: It is much slower than it is in windows XP, i can run it at 1280 x 1024 but in linux i need to go 800 x 600 for the same performance. Is that common, or did i mess something up?
