I have a major problem with your understanding of these words. You assume too much. Please make explanations clear and concise. If you give a code or string to to solve a problem, please tell me WHERE to ENTER same, it would save me from having to pay someone to help me when you claim HELP IS FREE !

First of all, I'd try to be more explanatory. Explain your problem in detail in its own thread, and I'm sure someone will be more than happy to assist you, but that attitude won't get you anywhere. We're all volunteers. We don't get paid to do this; instead, we use our own spare time to help others when they have problems using their operating system.
Read the read first (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=232059) post before posting, too.

Typically you need to type the code into the command line or terminal (also known as BASH). Look for the icon that says terminal (it may look like a monitor with a 'dos' prompt). Just copy and paste the code in...

is not very clear or specific. We all want to help, but I can't understand what the hell you are trying to say here. We need clear and concise posts from you too... ;)
Oh, and as said above, try to be nice... non of us get paid (even the staff don't) so it's out of the kindness of people's hearts that you're getting 'FREE' support. Appreciate it alittle more and you'll find almost any problem can be fixed.

Most commands are entered in the terminal, which is found in the Accessories menu in Ubuntu.
Can you be more specific about what you're trying to fix? Is there another thread that describes your problem, and the solution you were given?

It's not windows, but remember if no-one told you to look under Start>Accessories>system tools>msdos prompt, how many would have found it. Or Start >Run
Try Applications>Accessories>Terminal. Same thing. It's not that hard

If I knew more, I'd be a volunteer too. Disabled and have loads of time on my hands, but I have yet to have a problem solved by any of you. This is not a slight. It's a fact. So I leave you to `help` others. It's just easier to pay than putz!

I've moved this thread to a more appropriate forum. If you have issues with the forum help, this would be the place to talk about that.
If you want help mounting a floppy disk, politely ask for it in a separate support thread about how to mount floppy disks. As far as I can tell, you've posted no such thread. Your only other posts are about a printer problem.
