Actually this is the first time im waiting for it. Every other release, i would be using windows since i always tanked my Linux partitions.

Been using II 8.10 alpha for some time now (the updater broke, so i never tested the beta. Alpha is still going strong on my machine tho...)

Kinda upsetting, just think, if everyone moved to linux how fast things would evolve, I mean we've got, what, about 1 or 2% of the computer market depending on who you ask, and software evolves so much faster than windows does, imagine how everything would be running with a 90% share or whatever.

Still, more users means better corporate support, better programs, better games. I'm using windows now playing games, if there was a foolproof way to get all windows games to work properly on linux I would delete my windows partition in an instant. But right now I've got my partition all nice and cleanly formatted all ready for Ibex.

So now can you see why I'm looking forward to Ibex being released so much? I'm stuck on windows until it is!

On my home system it outputs:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV610 video device [Radeon HD 2400 PRO]And since my graphics card is a Radeon HD 2400 I kinda figure that will work for you.

sisco311, you're a genius! I heard what I though was my hard drive grinding and with what you said decided to check the fan. It was doing the noise and when I smaked it, the airflow started up again. THANKS! :D
