Long? LONG? That post was NOT long! In fact, it was very short! How dare you call it a long post when it was evidently so short, concise and little? You are obviously out of your mind or suffering from some accute form of dementia if you really, truly believe that this folly of an accusation regarding the lenght of my post has any grounds to stand on other than those which exist solely in the imaginary lands of your imagination. This is absurd! This is ridiculous! This is blasphemy! This is madness! THIS! IS! SPARTA! You can't honestly expect this silly comment to have any credibility, now, can you? It is so blaringly obvious that my post was small, I laugh at your petty attempt to make it seem otherwise! Hmm, indeed. But laughing has made me quite thirsty, so a nice drink of cold water would be nice, if only I could find some source of water next to my computer... but all that's close to me now is my old Nintendo 64 with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time popped in. I decided to play through the game again this weekend. I just got into the Forest Temple, so there's still a long ways to go. MUCH longer than my very short post, I should add! Last time I played through I didn't really get the whole thing down. I didn't get all the heart pieces, for example, or all the Gold Skulltlas. This time, however, I intend to best the game in every aspect. It shall bow down in awe before me once I'm done... if my only remaining controller survives long enough... If not, I'll just have to start again on an emulator. That would be neat, actually, because I'd be able to use hi-res textures for a modernized gaming experience. But I'd have to buy a joystick that doesn't suck, which is a challenge, seeing as I am very short on money. But not as short as my post, which was so wrongly accused of being long! No, if I aimed to be as short on money as that post was on words, I'd have to forfeit all my material possessions, contract huge debts and donate the money obtained via those debts, donate any organ I could possibly sell in the Black Market without dying, then burn down my clothes and go live naked in the woods. THEN, I'd be as short on money as that marvelously succinct post was on words. Of course, that would be very very bad for me, so I believe I'll let the post go unrivaled for as long as I may live, lest anyone else decides to take the challenge. So, to sum it up, my post was not long. Go eat the outside of a pineapple with your boots off.

Oh, and BUMP.

Why, where's your long post? I'm having a hard time seeing it under that wall of text, maybe a paragraph or 2 would be helpful?
I personally think that even if you just broke it into 3 or 4 paragraphs it would be many times easier, and if you employed bold on a few statements it would be even better, who knows, maybe you could have made the post longer than it currently is.
I haven't bumped yet, which is strange, since normally bump gets written first and I plan the post around it, perhaps this post is a special one, who knows, maybe I'll even print it and place it on my wall as a big reminder to everyone in the world just how special it truly is.
Oh, and I'm still no 1 on the bump thread by over 600 posts now, slow coach is falling even further behin(but then I lose the intarwebs at 7AM Monday till around 3 or 4PM on Wednesday, what a pain...)
Since I've now run out of logical things to say I'm going to pick a topic then talk about it, let's see what the random word generator throws up:
Humility
w0w, that's a bad word, I mean what can I say about that, other than, you know pinky being the least humble person on the forums :P Not that I think he can even reach this point in the post, he's well known for having an attention span shorter than a race between a photon of light and a futuristic star ship using warp speed. Not that it's possible to measure such a race, by the time you observe them passing the start line they have already completed the race rendering your entire test worthless.
Now what was I thinking about again... Oh, I know, humility, well I personally think I am rather humble, although I can think of several people far more humble than I am, not that this matters much.
For those of you who are interested I have removed the small rubber things from the base of my keyboard, I don't actually keep the keyboard on the desk when I type though, I find it much more comfortable to rest it on my knee's and type without having to bend over to reach the computer desk or whatever, so it has no real impact on me, the little rubber things just annoyed me, since one of them has already fallen off I felt it necessary to remove the final 2, it makes the keyboard more symmetrical in a messed up way, not that this is a bad thing...
Oh, and I'm bored, typing this is so very boring I may just post it as it is, but then that will require me to move the mouse or press the tab key a couple of times, the horrors!
Actualy, come to write that, I wonder how a tab competition system would work, it would need to be different from the normal tab method, since that method is used to toggle focus across elements, maybe a ctrl+tab option, but then I'm sure that's reserved for some program out there... I wonder, just how good would tab complete work in the browser, I think it would be very intresting if someone could write a tab complete option for firefox, maybe I should post the idea somewhere, it'd be way cooler to have than ubiquity(ooh, which I uninstalled BTW, the things was just a complete waste to offer nothing in terms of bonuses when adding and removing commands was harder than it should have been).

I wonder how long this text is right now, I very much doubt it's even close to the 5,000 char limit, I doubt it even comes close to a thousand, would be cool if it did though, wonder if there's an easy way to check that, maybe a piece of code or something.
Maybe I should write one just for the purpose, after all it only takes 1 line, just a quick
alert( document.getElementById('vB_Editor_001_textarea'). value.length )
message, not at all hard to generate or produce, infact, just starting it with javascript: and it's actually a working command, huh, look at that, I wrote it without actually wanting to :P -- w0w, over 3,500 I'm impressed, I didn't realise I had typed this much, and all in an effort to type something so long as to prevent people from reading it, it is an intresting look into how I think, and my complete inability to keep to a single topic, I studied psychology for 2 years because I didn't understand people and now I still don't understand people but I also get the added bonus of being creeped out whenever I see kids(it's either ***** envy or Oedipus complexes, and that's not half of the problems people have apparently, and I thought I was messed up).
up to 4,369 - what a pain, I may actualy reach the 5k limit, that'd be a kicker. Still, it's not like I can just quit talking in the middle of a sentence, that'd be very rude, although not quite as rude as quiting in the middle of a word, I really hope that doesn't happen, it'd be a real pain in the rear end.
The daz adverts are the most annoying adverts on TV BTW, it's a pretend soap opera with a bunch of people I don't know acting as if I gave a poop about the story, I don't care for the people I know, why would I care for people I don't know?
100 words left, hurray, almost at the boundary, wonder how close can I push it to the boun...

It is said that from any text long enough, you can glean the true character of a person. Well, see below.
Why, where's your long post? I'm having a hard time seeing it under that wall of text, maybe a paragraph or 2 would be helpful?

I see. Unobservant.

I personally think that even if you just broke it into 3 or 4 paragraphs it would be many times easier, and if you employed bold on a few statements it would be even better, who knows, maybe you could have made the post longer than it currently is.

Note the use of "I personally" in the sentence. It is a rather overused verbal ploy used to add extra weight to a statement.

"I haven't bumped yet,"

With this subtle turn of phrase, we can see that scrager (A.K.A. scragy) is setting a texted based trap for those who either read or skim the text. While he has not told an untruth, the person subconsciously infers that the word "bump" is not in the text.

"maybe I'll even print it and place it on my wall as a big reminder to everyone in the world just how special it truly is."

This is a smoke screen to stop people from reading on.

"Oh, and I'm still no 1 on the bump thread by over 600 posts now, slow coach is falling even further behin(but then I lose the intarwebs at 7AM Monday till around 3 or 4PM on Wednesday, what a pain...)"

Here we see how he cunningly used the word "bump" in a sentence structure that is very charged with both past and future facts. We can infer that the point is to wear the user down and keep the word "bump" from having only one occurrence in the post. Also notice the misspelling of the word "behind". Careless. (But is it?)

Since I've now run out of logical things to say I'm going to pick a topic then talk about it, let's see what the random word generator throws up:

Note the emphasis on the technical point of view. This is intended to give a less technical reader a sense of unease. Very useful for stopping the reader from continuing.

Humility
w0w, that's a bad word, I mean what can I say about that, other than, you know pinky being the least humble person on the forums :P Not that I think he can even reach this point in the post, he's well known for having an attention span shorter than a race between a photon of light and a futuristic star ship using warp speed.

"Humility"

Note the use of the bold on the word Humility. This uses reverse psychology to make the reader lose patience with the author and cease reading.

"w0w, that's a bad word, I mean what can I say about that, other than, you know pinky being the least humble person on the forums :P"

Not the use of "leet" in a regular sentence. That is another manifestation of the technique to make less tech savvy readers or those who are interested in grammar to stop reading. Also, note the purposefully inflammatory statement about a particular poster, that is to say, me. This is a three-pronged attack. By insulting me he hopes to discredit me. Also, he hopes to provoke me into a personal battle. Thirdly, he hopes that I miss it entirely and simply ignore it so that he can bring it back at a later date.

"Not that I think he can even reach this point in the post, he's well known for having an attention span shorter than a race between a photon of light and a futuristic star ship using warp speed. "

Here is the proof that the point of this barb is solely for me to miss it. This shows his admirably effective use of generalities and bland, blank statements to make the reader simply agree. It also uses technical words that are designed to confuse the reader.

"Not that it's possible to measure such a race, by the time you observe them passing the start line they have already completed the race rendering your entire test worthless."

That may be true, but if so, how can it be accurate? If there are two units, each of unknown value, one cannot compare one to the other without knowing at lease the ratio between the two. This is admitted here, admittedly, but this brings up the question of "why?" Why bring up something useless and worthless? The reason is to create confusion in the mind of the reader.

"Now what was I thinking about again... Oh, I know, humility, well I personally think I am rather humble, although I can think of several people far more humble than I am, not that this matters much."

Note how the author creates the illusion that he is lost. That creates a subconscious bond between the author and the reader, assuming the reader has made it this far or is just skimming this section. Also note how he states his own humility. This is meant to be taken a satire, but it is not. It is nothing more than the subconscious mind of the author at work, proclaiming his self pride. The use of the praising of other, as yet unnamed, people is a way for his conscious mind to attempt to hide his own pride with false modesty.
This paragraph is obviously just filler. While some people may find it fascinating to read about his keyboard exploits, most do not read this thread.

Oh, and I'm bored, typing this is so very boring I may just post it as it is, but then that will require me to move the mouse or press the tab key a couple of times, the horrors!

Here, one assumes more fillers. Just also a slight satire about the difficulties of using the forum. This may appear to be the case, but it is not true. This paragraph is just a leader to the next.

This paragraph is filler, but not just filler. If you look at it carefully, you can see that it is just another attempt to bore the reader into submission with complex and/or technical terms. You can also notice from the multiple misspellings, that this post is to ungainly for even the OPs literary skills, such that they are.

I wonder how long this text is right now, I very much doubt it's even close to the 5,000 char limit, I doubt it even comes close to a thousand, would be cool if it did though, wonder if there's an easy way to check that, maybe a piece of code or something.

Both a filler and way to "prove" to those the world that is still reading that he is well versed in computer programming.

Maybe I should write one just for the purpose, after all it only takes 1 line, just a quick

This is, again a very transparent plot to demonstrate the technical prowess of the author.

alert( document.getElementById('vB_Editor_001_textarea'). value.length )
message, not at all hard to generate or produce, infact, just starting it with javascript: and it's actually a working command, huh, look at that, I wrote it without actually wanting to :P -- w0w, over 3,500 I'm impressed, I didn't realise I had typed this much, and all in an effort to type something so long as to prevent people from reading it, it is an intresting look into how I think, and my complete inability to keep to a single topic, I studied psychology for 2 years because I didn't understand people and now I still don't understand people but I also get the added bonus of being creeped out whenever I see kids(it's either ***** envy or Oedipus complexes, and that's not half of the problems people have apparently, and I thought I was messed up).
up to 4,369 - what a pain, I may actualy reach the 5k limit, that'd be a kicker. Still, it's not like I can just quit talking in the middle of a sentence, that'd be very rude, although not quite as rude as quiting in the middle of a word, I really hope that doesn't happen, it'd be a real pain in the rear end.

This is just a way for him to grab the attention of the readers and show off. Now, one can see the errors in his logic as easily as in the spelling of his text. Also, in this giant text we have proof that he has knowledge of the human pathos and therefore knows how to manipulate it.

The daz adverts are the most annoying adverts on TV BTW, it's a pretend soap opera with a bunch of people I don't know acting as if I gave a poop about the story, I don't care for the people I know, why would I care for people I don't know?

This is just another bunch of randomness used to fill the space and bring the it to the limit.

100 words left, hurray, almost at the boundary, wonder how close can I push it to the boun...

As was this.

All in all, this text is all that it appears to be, a simple attempt to gain the confidence, belief and trust of the members of this thread. I know you will not fall for such an obvious ploy, dear reader, so, in the word of this author:

PHAIL!

EDIT: Added screenshots of the poster's post before he decides to edit away the evidence.
