running instructions:
install libwww-mechanize-perl via synaptic or the terminal.
edit the script:
logging = send messages back to the terminal, handy stuff if you think it's freezing.
username, password = you should know them.
url = site hosting the forum, in our case it's ubuntuforums.org
threadId = leave it alone, you don't want to bump the wrong thread.
avoidDbl = avoid double posting, 1 to avoid, 0 to post anyway.
loopTimer = 0 is to post once, then abort, a positive number causes it to loop infinity and check the thread every X seconds.
BUMP = the bump message, unless
randomBump = is 1, if this is 0 then the message posted is
@messages = randomly selected from this array.
mark as executable(via the properties screen if you don't know how from the terminal)
run it as you would anything else.

more testing should really be done, but it's as much as I can do tonight, it's attached, instructions arn't too different from the 1.3 release, except for the loops option...

turn on logging and run it from a terminal, it lets you know what it's doing for the slower stuff, handy or what?

few important settings, let me know what you've done with them:
url - make sure it's ubuntuforums.org
threadId - well the bump threads 520091
avoidDbl - you want to avoid double posting so 1
loopTimer - for testing use 0, for usage use a number of seconds between it checking if it should post or not.

randomBump is set to 1, if 0:

@messages is an array of messages randomly picked from.

I didn't find Vista to be as bad as people make it out to be. It's okay for a Windows OS. In my experience with it, it certainly didn't live up to the hype.

I wasn't following the hype, but I think the main issue was with the "Vista Capable" logos that were put on pre-built computers. When people installed Vista on their "Vista capable" machines and found that it didn't quite work with their hardware, they were probably quite annoyed. From there the "Vista sucks" spread through things like the media and internet. But then again, this is just me guessing so I dunno. :)
