Not sure is this is the correct place to post this message. I am fairly new to Ubuntu (about 4 months now). I have started posting to my personal blog (at Sun Microsystems) details as how to setup the full Sun / Open Source web stack (web server, glassfish, netbeans, etc) on Ubuntu. My blog can be found at:

http://blogs.sun.com/kkranz

I'm not sure how much interest there would be on this topic or if there would be a desire to start a subforum.

Finally, I should point out that, while I do work for Sun, this forum is my own personal blog. There is no party-line preaching here nor do I (at the time of this posting) work directly with the development of any of these products. I neither make the case pro or con for Solaris vs Ubuntu. I simply have a need to setup Ubuntu for a project and though that I would detail the steps involved. Any comments or feedback is welcome.

kkranz,

i have installed glassfish on ubuntu to use with Netbeans 5.5 to learn Java.
but i am having trouble to register the server with Netbeans.
it does not give the option for any available domain and when i create one it does not become available on the browser.

any suggestion as to where i can find info on howto setup these as i have already used Netbeans.org tutorials?

thanks,

Nicolas
