I learned Pascal in high school before it was replaced by Visual Basic, Java, etc. It's probably one of the most underrated languages.
My post in the Programming Language Guide thread about Pascal: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=333867&page=2#17

It looks like Fortran, I am looking into Pascal now, maybe adding it to my wiki.
Does the GNU Pascal compiler work the same way as gcc and g++ and g77? What is its name?
