If you're interested you MUST:
Commit to at least 1 development cycle.
Have a good attitude and strong communication skills.
Work well within a team and be willing to lead.
And finally, have a great eye for design. ;)
So, reply to the thread and or hit me up on IRC if you're interested. _MMA_ on Freenode. I'm always on #ubuntustudio and #ubuntu-motu. Please have some type of portfolio together.

I have been helping try to find people for you. I don't fit the position myself, though (not enough time ;)).

The 1st post outlines it. Do you have a more specific question?

well,
MAYBE I'd be interested, but I consider your post to be uninformative... Is there a chance u could describe WORK itself rather than requirments?

I want someone who knows what we need already. And by that I mean someone that would already know they would need to create everything needed for the new look and feel of the next Ubuntu Studio. From icons to website. I don't have time to train people from scratch, which is the feeling your post gives me.

yes that's exactly what i meant... I believe I fulfil all the "must" conditions. But unfortunately i don't know if I would fit in this project cause I get from your post that I wouldn't be the one who already knows what you need already... anyway... if u'll need any help with websited or design, you can send me PM at anytime ;)

Yeah. Sorry man. It's kinda hard to concentrate being in alot of IRC channels so I often just stay in 1 or 2. I'm only in #ubuntustudio 50% of the time. Ill be in touch.

Well, I do not know if this is still open, and I do not have the time to be an art lead unless it is approving more than making the art, but I am working on wallpapers right now that you could use in the next release. If you need some, let me know and I will make it a priority. I like the splash you have already.
Here is a link to what I am doing. There are not really any wallpapers yet (the ones there are not great) but I think the banners show what I can do.

and yes, it was all done with GIMP.
I would love to help with the web design, but I am still learning and I do not want to mess it up. If you have not found anyone though, I could give it my best shot. You can see how far I am on my own site. :) If I am just messing with the original code rather than working from scratch I could get it done.

It involves coordinating/working with others. Making more than just wallpapers and being responsible for the overall look and feel of Ubuntu Studio.
It's a time consuming job and if you don't have the time to commit than the jobs not for you. ;) That's also a general statement for everyone.
We need someone with experience for the position.

Right, that's why I was offering to help, not take the job. My offer still stands. If you need some help with art, let me know. If you need a lead, that is not me. :)
