I just got this after I upgraded from 6.06.1 to 6.10 to 7.04 server.

go to System > Administration > Software Sources, choose the main servers and try again. It should work after that.

there has to be something broken or missing, I upgraded 2 other servers and they don't have this issue and they are the same hardware, dell PE 2450 with 2 HDs ( raid 1 )

that won't help since I can't ping by name and I'm not running Xorg.

when I moved the server back to the inside LAN from the DMZ and changed it to DHCP. I don't get the "111 Connection refused" error.



I can't boot this server with the 7.04 server or LIVE CD.
6.06 server CD works. I need to try 6.10 server CD.

Is there anyway I can sync whats install and configured from one server to another, basicly mirror the working server?

if you arent using a GUI you can edit the sources file in /etc/apt/sources.list and remove the country code from each repository (i.e. http://us.repository.com/ to http://repository.com/)

I believe you can use rsync to "mirror" another machine.

the add-in NIC was eth0
the internal NIC was eth1

eth0 and eth1 have gone missing

ifconfig shows

lo...
eth2 ...

eth2 seems to now be the internal NIC.

seems like the network sub system is trashed
