Is there a collection of information somewhere about businesses and whatnot who have switched to linux?

I don't have a link or anything but I remember reading a very interesting article about why things go wrong when switching to Linux.
The key seemed to be not rushing into the whole thing. Instead step one is switching application by application to open source types. That usually is the worst part. When all that is done, its much easier for everyone to switch to Linux.
The worst scenario is to switch all things at once, having to deal with users not understanding the new OS as well as not understanding one or many of the new applications.
I hope that helps. Google is your friend btw.

I suspect that they'll still have MS Office installed using something like Crossover. As good as OpenOffice and AbiWord are they still struggle with MS Words docs.
For example this Word doc: http://www.btwholesale.com/content/binaries/Section44%20Part31%20010507_issue3.doc
Just looks a mess with either OO or AbiWord - try it see what I mean.
I've got Office 2003 installed using Crossover, and have attached a screenie of what page 1 of the above doc should look like.
