Hello All,

Still a novice with Ubuntu so bare with me and request more information if you need it!

I have been trying to send email via my SMTP/POP3 but get a message saying Spamhaus.org have blocked my IP address. I followed the links, read the info, delisted. I figured they detected me using Knujon (via the Thunderbird add-on) to report my spam so I have stopped using it.

But the message has come up again! I was relisted 3 hours ago. They recommend I do something with PORT 25.

All this is pretty much above my head so any advice is welcome. I would hate to think my computer is part of a "bot-net" or something!

Thank you

What is your IP? You're stating your IP is blocked. Is your IP and the smtp server's IP the same? Are you using DSL/Cable? What is the block message? You do realize they will block entire ISP's because of their spamming habits. It would have nothing to do with you.

These and other things will need to be known if you expect someone to give you decent help.

Spamhaus has multiple listings. If, as you say is, "pretty much above my[your] head", and you're running a mailserver, I would suggest shutting it down now, and not turning it back on until you have some experience.
