Ok, I installed Ubuntu (first time trying linux) and I have installed the ATI 3D support and now I have Direct Rendering. Then I installed point2play with which I installed World of Warcraft. But when I started it up it went fullscreen and then gave me an error to send to blizzard. But whenever I try to start it again it doesnt even get to that part it just flashes a black screen and thats it.

If anyone could help me with this I would greately appreciate it.

Have you searched through the transgaming forums (http://transgaming.org/forum) yet?

Yeah I can't say I've had much luck either. I spent a few hours banging my head ( lol ](*,) ) against cedega/Point2Play yesterday with no luck either. Seems kinda hit or miss by what's in the forums. I've got WoW installed but it crashes while applying the 1.6.0 patch. I'm a bit of a newb with wine so sorry I'm not much help. Just wanted to b sure you knew where the transgaming forums were, no offense intended.

Best of luck,

from what ive gathered, since the WoW 1.6 patch, Linux and WoW aren't mixing very well right now. I myself thing WoW is buggy enough running in its native environment and wouldn't want to try with cedega. After playing this game for 2 weeks I'm ready to throw it out the window. I don't see the point of paying $15 buck s a month to play errand-boy for a bunch of npc's with an personal avatar. How something like this is called a game, I dont understand.
