Hey guys/gals
I am overwhelmed by the insane amount of quality software available for Linux.
Could anyone recommend to me any software that could aid in intermediate to advanced Spanish education?

Additionally, its been brought to my attention that playing old role playing games in another language would be a good way to learn while taking it a bit easier (cant always cram raw data in to the brain now!)
Any good emulators and such?

Hi,

I learned Spanish via Skype - VoIP-Software (in one-to-one classes) with http://spanish.online-spanisch.com (http://spanish.online-spanisch.com)

there are plenty websites like livemocha, but if you look for further advances, the best way is to meet spanish-speakers. I'm one myself, i am colombian. feel free to request my messenger. Also, if you are in a begginer to intermediate position, you should try running Game boy advance games in spanish. (Off course beware the legal limitations, in some countries you can test the games 24 hours, in others is illegal even to download, in some others, like mine, law is blurry;)) a lot of them aswell have english versions, and if you play with a dictionary in hand, you should be fine. My personal favorites of all times are Final Fantasy tactics advance, Pokemon Emerald (lame, i know) Broken Sword, shadow of the templars or something alike, and megaman. I use VBA emulator, is in the ubuntu repos, also there is a manpage to make it run smoothly, and the roms, well i leave that to you and your concience.:lolflag::guitar:

Livemocha is my favourite.
