Hi. I have recently installed Half-life on both WINE and CVSCedega, using a tutorial found here (http://lhl.linuxgames.com/howto/half-life-HOWTO-0.4.1.html). However, I find that I can't seem to run OpenGL mode on Half-Life, while the section in this tutorial about how to deal with the error is useless to me as libopengl32.so doesn't even exist on my system. I compiled WINE with OpenGL support, while Cedega naturally includes OpenGL support, so I can't understand why this is the case.

I average 2500fps in GLXGears, yet in software rendering of HL I drop to a measly 4fps on Cedega and <1fps on WINE, not worth playing with at all. Does anyone else have any advice on how to enable OpenGL in half-life?

Have you solved this problem in the year since you first posted it? I'm having the same issue. I am trying to follow the various how-tos to get Half-Life running in wine, but our package didn't seem to install libopengl32.so... WHY? What installs this file? Is there some arcane script we have to run?
