I was just curious out of the people who have a mac with a triple boot setup if everything runs smoothly with all 3 operating systems. I'm in the market for a new labtop. I have used macs for final cut pro but I also have a windows computer for gaming. Recently I installed a dual boot with ubuntu studios and fell in love with it. I guess the real question is If I were to buy a macbook would I be able to run beryl without problems, play windows games (as best as a labtop can)? I'm sure the macs section is taken care of =P.

The answer to all your questions is yes.

I'm triplebooting OSX/UBUNTU/VISTA - on a macbook c2d.

but make sure you understand the process. There are a few triple boot threads here. I would read through them.

OK thank you very much. Just wanted to do research before i drop two grand on a labtop. I'm really glad macs switch to intel I think it was a smart move on there part.

I also have another question. Do the new mac labtops with the ATI cards have any issues with beryl. I have a pc I built with an ATI radeon and I couldn't ever get beryl to work on it.

Try the link in my sig. Also please note that the "new" MacBook Pros have Nvidia cards, no longer the ATIs. I would assume this is partially the result of the Intel partnership, but that's getting OT....

Just wanted to mention that I have a mac Pro w/ an ATI x1900xt and it's common knowledge to anyone who has a ATI card that their linux drivers are pure crap. ATI seems to think that linux doesen't deserve their attention, but maybe that will change under the new AMD regime and Dell's push for better drivers. Only the coming months will tell.
