Hallo folks,
I'm looking for somebody interested in writing a GUI for a project (still in beta development though) i'm working on.
To make a long story short, it's a small python script based on eyeD3 and sqlite modules that updates the Philips Gogear mp3 players (based on an sqlite database).

For more info
http://www.freshmeat.net/pygogear

that's an old version, the new one is still under construction and features a massive code-rewriting for a more object oriented design.

It's my first Python project, but i've been programming for some years now in various other languages, so i'm not a newbie (just to point it... :P)

By the way, i'd love to get in touch with someone who would like to take this as a chance to do some GUI programming - so i would say i'm looking for some mid-level skilled geek :D

And to be clear, my knowledge about GUI stuff is pretty low and lacking, but i'm currently learning the basics.

Hope to get some feedback here! Ciao!!!

I am a semi-mid-level GUI programmer in wxPython. How sophisticated of a GUI are you looking for? Do you have an idea of how you want it to looke, etc?

hey ! thanks for replying!!!
ok listen, the GUI i have in mind is really really simple (at least, it looks like)
Should be quite similar to iTunes (talking about the layout):
a left column with a treeView that lets you create new branches (playlists)
a right (bigger) column that lets you drag n drop files from nautilus.

That's it basically,...
what you think?

would you like to email me for more info, feel free to do so.

(or just pm me!)

(i have made a preview with glade, just to show you the idea)

ciao!
