Hi! New Linux user and not really a techie, so when I did the Install of Wubi onto my laptop, it all went well until an attempt to connect via Firefox. it seems that the wireless connection is not available and I simply do not know what to do about that.
A re-boot into Windows XP gets everything working fine, so the hardware is fine. It fails to connect in the Wubi/Ubuntu configuration. :(

I have browsed some other threads here and, frankly, I am lost about what to do next... All of the suggestions seem to require the use of the console and I don't even know where that is located :)

Any advise or suggestions would be more than welcome. Thanks for the assistance.

The console, or terminal, is at Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal

As for the wireless card setup question, I don't know much about that, but I would recommend reposting it in the ubuntu networking/wireless subforum at http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=136 since the people who browse around those parts know more about the subject; this section is meant for Wubi-specific issues, while setting up wireless is a general Ubuntu issue. Also, when you repost at the other section, make sure to also mention your wireless card model.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I wondered what that "terminal" thing was all about...

I'll head over to that Forum now.

Mods could mark this Topic "resolved". Thanks.
