I know I shouldn't have illusions about universe handling. I've been watching ruby-gnome2 and libgstreamer0.8-ruby in breezy and it's still at 0.11 while debian is at 0.12 for a _long time_. It's too bad, but OK I understand, it's not main.
But something that makes me really quite disappointed now is, this morning, i see LWN security fixes

Ubuntu upgraded firefox. Fedora/RHEL/Gentoo upgraded firefox and thunderbird (mandriva only firefox so far and debian none).
Maybe they just didn't have the time to fix thunderbird yet, but most probably it's because it's in universe. I'm wondering: will we have the thunderbird security fixes in hoary, and they're just a bit late, or we shouldn't count on it because it's only universe?
FWIW, linuxjournal polls had in final two mailers: evolution & thunderbird.
