why are new replies not showing up under "New Posts"?

I have noticed that none of my replies to unanswered posts show up under "New Posts". Only when use "Search | Find my own posts" can I find those threads again.

Am I missing something?

Other forums (Suse, Debian) I have joined do not behave in this manner.

I've just scrolled through 10 pages of new posts and couldn't find this thread or anything else I posted earlier today.

What kind of "delay" and for what reason?
